GHRH Peptide

CJC-1295 is a powerful synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), comprising 30 amino acids. Renowned for its ability to elevate growth hormone and IGF-1 levels, CJC-1295 achieves this boost without interfering with the natural pulsatile secretion of growth hormone.

This remarkable peptide is often used in conjunction with Ipamorelin, taking full advantage of its precise GHRH action. While both promote growth hormone release, Ipamorelin stands out by avoiding the common side effects such as increased appetite and elevated cortisol, acetylcholine, prolactin, and aldosterone levels found with other peptides. CJC-1295 is well-tolerated, making it an excellent companion to Ipamorelin.

Target Gland: Pituitary

Benefits of CJC-1295 include:

  • Boosted growth hormone and IGF-1 release without elevating prolactin levels
  • Support for increased body weight and length through enhanced protein synthesis
  • Promotion of muscle growth
  • Improved bone density
  • Strengthened immune response
  • Enhanced cognitive function and memory
  • Increased collagen production
  • Facilitated fat loss
  • Promoted cellular repair and regeneration

CJC-1295 also encourages deep, restorative slow-wave sleep, essential for muscle growth, memory retention, and overall rejuvenation.

Types of CJC-1295:

GHRH is produced in the hypothalamus and its rhythmic release stimulates growth hormone from the pituitary gland. However, GHRH has a very short half-life of just a few minutes, making it rapidly cleared from circulation.

The active segment of GHRH consists of the initial 29 amino acids, represented by the manufactured peptide Sermorelin. This peptide has been engineered to extend its half-life to around 30 minutes, leading to the creation of CJC-1295. Further enhancement with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) allows it to bind to albumin, extending its half-life to approximately 8 days, resulting in CJC-1295 + DAC. Alternatively, CJC-1295 can be formulated without DAC to closely mimic natural growth hormone spikes during the night.

The prolonged half-life with DAC means that injections are required only once or twice a week. Nevertheless, the sustained blood levels provide a continual stimulus for growth hormone release through the GHRH receptor, which diverges from typical physiological responses. This could potentially lead to a reduced amplitude of growth hormone pulses and, consequently, diminished tissue stimulation.

Safety Considerations:

For users of long-acting CJC formulations, it's recommended to take "hormone holidays" lasting about three months every three to six months, allowing the pituitary gland to recuperate. During these breaks, Sermorelin can serve as a substitute for CJC-1295 + DAC.

These "hormone holidays" may also help prevent the onset of growth hormone resistance, which could occur due to the development of antibodies that neutralize growth hormone or a decrease in growth hormone receptors in tissues (down-regulation). However, these are theoretical issues, as no long-term studies have conclusively proven them.

Potential side effects of CJC-1295 may include localized injection site reactions (irritation, redness, swelling, pain, itching), headaches, diarrhea, flushing, warmth, transient low blood pressure, nausea, and abdominal discomfort.
