CJC-1295 is an innovative synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), composed of 30 amino acids. This powerful peptide has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in enhancing growth hormone secretion and elevating IGF-1 levels while preserving the natural pulsatility of GH release.
For optimal results, CJC-1295 is often used in conjunction with Ipamorelin. While both peptides elevate growth hormone levels, Ipamorelin stands out due to its targeted action as a GHRH. Unlike some other peptides, it does not trigger appetite stimulation or increase cortisol, acetylcholine, prolactin, or aldosterone, making it a well-tolerated companion to CJC-1295.
Gland Stimulated: Pituitary
Key Benefits of CJC-1295:
- Boosts growth hormone and IGF-1 secretion without raising prolactin levels
- Facilitates weight gain and growth through enhanced protein synthesis
- Supports muscle development and strength
- Improves bone density for overall skeletal health
- Enhances immune system function
- Promotes better cognitive function and memory retention
- Increases collagen production for skin and joint health
- Aids in fat loss and body composition improvement
- Encourages cellular repair and regeneration
CJC-1295 also promotes deep, restorative slow-wave sleep, essential for muscle growth, cognitive performance, and overall rejuvenation.
Understanding the Two Forms of CJC-1295:
Produced in the hypothalamus, GHRH is released in pulses, stimulating the pituitary gland to secrete growth hormone. However, GHRH has a very short half-life of just a few minutes. The active section of GHRH, which consists of the first 29 amino acids, is available as a synthetic peptide called Sermorelin, modified to extend its half-life to 30 minutes. CJC-1295 takes this a step further with the addition of a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC), which binds to blood protein albumin, extending its half-life to an impressive 8 days. This variant is known as CJC-1295 + DAC, although CJC-1295 can also be formulated without DAC, mimicking a natural nightly growth hormone spike.
Thanks to DAC?s interaction with albumin, CJC-1295 requires only one to two injections per week. However, this extended half-life may result in continuous stimulation of GH release from the pituitary, which can reduce the natural amplitude of GH pulses and potentially impact GH tissue stimulation.
Safety Considerations:
To maintain optimal health while using a long-acting CJC molecule, it's recommended to take 'hormone holidays' of three months every three to six months. This allows the pituitary gland to recover. During these breaks, Sermorelin can be utilized in place of CJC-1295 + DAC.
Implementing these 'hormone holidays' may also help minimize the risk of developing GH resistance, which could theoretically occur if antibodies form against GH or if GH receptors in tissues become down-regulated. However, it's important to note that no long-term studies have yet confirmed these concerns.
Potential Side Effects of CJC-1295:
- Injection site reactions (irritation, redness, swelling, pain, itching)
- Headaches
- Diarrhea
- Vasodilation (flushing, warmth, temporary low blood pressure)
- Nausea
- Abdominal discomfort
